Yin Yue Chamber Music 2026 Classical Concert Series "Transit"

This concert features performances by Europe-based violinist Liu Szu-han (劉思涵), cellist Lai Ting-hung (賴定宏), and collaborative pianist Yang Hsiao-ying (楊小瑩). The program includes selected classics such as Haydn's Piano Trio No. 39 "Gypsy" and Czech composer Suk's Piano Trio No. 2. It also features a new interpretation, arranged for piano trio, of the five pieces originally composed for violin duo and piano by Shostakovich, bringing a fresh sonic dimension to familiar melodies.
In addition to the classical repertoire, this performance once again invites the music class of Kungkuan Elementary School in Miaoli County to collaborate, performing the "Toy Symphony" composed by Leopold Mozart, father of Mozart. Building on the enthusiastic response from the previous collaboration "Children's Suite," this piece incorporates toy instrument sounds alongside traditional instruments, adding fun and liveliness to the music. It is suitable for family viewing and serves as an introductory work to guide children into the world of classical music.
