Saisiyat Folklore Museum 'Indigenous Echoes' Holiday Cultural Performance: Street Performer Show (1 Session)

Date: 2026-06-13 Organizer: 朱天恩
To enrich the cultural content of the two indigenous museums, attract public attention to the diversity of indigenous cultures, and simultaneously drive the development of tourism and leisure industries, the Miaoli County Government has meticulously planned the 'Indigenous Echoes' holiday cultural performance series. Among them, the Nanzhuang Saisiyat Museum will present 28 cultural performances from February 17th until the end of the year, while the Tai'an Atayal Museum will host 80 performances by indigenous groups and bands. The public is welcome to appreciate the authentic traditional dance and music performances and feel the beauty of indigenous culture.
This year's cultural performances revolve around the theme 'Indigenous Echoes.' 'Indigenous' represents the distinctive dance, music, and songs of the indigenous peoples that carry history and culture, while 'Echoes' expresses the hope of promoting indigenous culture through these performances to elicit a response. The character for 'echo' (迴) also carries the meaning of rotation and cycle, symbolizing the continuation and inheritance of indigenous music, dance, songs, and art.
The Saisiyat Folklore Museum holiday cultural series, from February 17th (Lunar New Year's Day) to February 19th (the third day of the Lunar New Year) in 2026, will arrange one street performer or performance group show each in the morning and afternoon daily; on February 20th and 21st, there will be one street performer show each day, totaling 8 sessions. Furthermore, starting from February 28th until December 12th, on the second and fourth Saturdays of each month, the museum will continue to host 10 sessions each of street performer and performance group shows, totaling 28 cultural performances.
