👉 "Writing Our Taiwanese Language" - "Taiwanese Language Communications" 35th Anniversary Founding Exhibition
✨2026 Taiwan Literature Festival ✛ Celebrating the 35th Anniversary of "Taiwanese Language Communications"✨
"Taiwanese Language Communications" is the most important Taiwanese language publication in the modern Taiwanese language movement, a pioneer in promoting the contemporary Taiwanese language movement, the longest-running and most influential Taiwanese language publication in the world today, and an important cradle for contemporary Taiwanese language writing. It was founded in July 1991 by Mr. Cheng Liang-kuang (鄭良光) in Los Angeles, USA, and published entirely in Taiwanese. Mr. Ch'en Lei (陳雷), an extremely important Taiwanese language literary novelist who passed away in 2025, not only served as the chief editor of this publication for many years but also accumulated and published a large number of Taiwanese language literary works through it, laying an important cornerstone and model for contemporary Taiwanese language writing.
In 2026, coinciding with the 35th anniversary of the founding of "Taiwanese Language Communications," a special exhibition is planned to introduce the origins of this publication and its impact on contemporary Taiwanese language writing. A series of activities including a literary forum and special exhibition tours will be held. Founder Mr. Cheng Liang-kuang is specially invited to return to Taiwan, and current Taiwanese language academic researchers, literary creation scholars, and writers are invited to participate in this grand event.
