Meng Chiao Painting Studio 2026 Summer Manga & Children's Art Camp
For elementary and junior/senior high school students to personally learn modern imagery and creative painting alongside manga and children's art artists during the hot summer. Professor Liu Tsung-ming (劉宗銘) is specially invited to teach at this studio.
Liu Tsung-ming (born 1950) is an expert in children's manga, picture books, illustration, and aesthetic education; he has served as an adjunct assistant professor in the Multimedia Arts Department at the National Taiwan University of Arts. To date, he has published 36 manga books, 21 picture books, and nearly a hundred fairy tales, book illustrations, and aesthetic education textbooks.
Teaching Objectives and Target Audience:
. Imagination and creation in visual form and image art.
. Methods for hand-drawing skills and compilation/illustration production.
. Elementary School Manga (Illustration) Class (grades 1-6)
. Junior/Senior High School Manga (Illustration) Class
@Class Schedule and Fee Structure:
. Four sessions are offered during the summer, each session consists of four classes, 2:00 PM ~ 4:00 PM.
. Fee per person per session is NT$4,000. Students can register for different sessions simultaneously.
. Working adults and parents interested in joining the art camp are also very welcome; registration is not limited by session.
. Participants should bring their own 2B pencils, colored pencils, erasers, and black thick/thin signature oil-based pens. The studio will provide drawing paper.
