KSO "Swallows" Opera Concert

The Kaohsiung Symphony Orchestra (KSO) presents the Taiwan premiere of Puccini's most elegant and lighthearted opera, "La Rondine," in a concert version. Under the baton of conductor Wu Yao-yu, vocalists Lin Ying-min, Lin Yi-wei, and others join the Kaohsiung Chamber Choir to tell the poignant story of the courtesan Magda, who disguises herself to pursue true love only to leave like a swallow at its peak. This performance strips away stage sets and drama, allowing audiences to immerse themselves purely in Puccini's lyrical melodies and transparent orchestral colors for a romantic, bittersweet experience.
