Year After Year, a Sheaf of Rice, the Continuity of a Thousand-Year Faith

“Golden Harvests, Year After Year” is the annual concert of the Hsiense Temple Chinese Orchestra, using rice stalks as a symbol of harvest and prayers for the land, ancestors, and future. The performance pays tribute to the deity Shen-nung and the faith of Hsiense Temple through traditional Chinese music, while highlighting the temple’s nearly 300-year history as a third-grade historic site and its community cultural efforts. Suitable for ages 5 and up, this concert offers a moving journey where music and spirituality intertwine.
