Where Light Falls: Li Ju-ling (李如玲)

Sometimes, it exists in memory; in a photograph from a certain afternoon; in the streets, window views, mountain shadows, or objects where one once lingered. As time passes, concrete details gradually fade. What remains is often not the original appearance of things, but an impression woven from light, color, and sensation. And when light falls, it illuminates not only the眼前的 scene but also the places where memory resides.
For Li Ju-ling (李如玲), painting is like an unknown exploration. Each covering, layering, and重组 on the canvas is like searching for some unspoken inner landscape. The symbols, lines, and color blocks in the picture also reflect the creator's deep self-expression and emotional imagination, giving the works a fluid and open state between figuration and abstraction.
This exhibition is titled "Where Light Falls." Here, "light" is not merely a natural phenomenon but also an opportunity for viewing. Light makes things appear and also makes them blur, illuminating the external scene while reflecting inner feelings. When light falls, the landscape is no longer just a landscape but becomes a field where memory and imagination meet.
