Tim Schicker is a dynamic guitarist, singer, composer, and professional Band Leader, known for his stage charisma and distinctive musical style. Blending classic traditional swing with modern energy, he deeply captivates audiences through powerful performances, charismatic stage presence, and a profound passion for live music.
A graduate of the Conservatory of Amsterdam, he has performed professionally across Europe and Asia since 2013, participating in numerous concerts, festivals, clubs, and cultural events.
As the bandleader and vocalist of The Killin' Jivers, Tim Schicker perfectly combines musical precision with infectious passion on stage. His performances center on tight arrangements, solid groove, and audience interaction, creating an authentic and energetic live atmosphere.
With years of touring experience and a distinct artistic vision, Tim Schicker continues to build his reputation as an outstanding performer and creative composer in the international swing and jazz scene.
━ Kuo Shu-kai (郭書愷)|Trombone ━
Master's degree from the Jazz Group of the Music Department at National Dong Hwa University, majoring in jazz trombone. Specializes in jazz and classical music performance, has participated in numerous pop and independent music performances, and concurrently works in event production, technical coordination, and other art-related roles. Has collaborated with musicians including Hsiao Ching-teng (蕭敬騰), Wu Ching-feng (吳青峰), Leo Wang (Leo 王), Pan Tzu-chieh (潘子爵), and is the trombonist and arranger for the band Shoot Up.
━ Hsu Yuan-yao (許元耀)|Saxophone ━
Born in 2000 in Taichung City. Began learning saxophone in elementary school as a member of the Chu Lin Elementary School Wind Band. In 2026, graduated from the graduate school of Senzoku Gakuen College of Music in Japan, becoming Taiwan's first master's degree holder in jazz studies in Japan, majoring in jazz and American music, studying under Tetsuro Kawashima (川嶋 哲郎). Graduated from the Jazz Group of the Music Department at National Dong Hwa University for his bachelor's degree, studying under Yang Hsiao-en (楊曉恩). Graduated from the music class of Changhua Arts High School, studying under Chin Shih-chi (金世琪). Graduated from the music class of Taichung An-Ho Junior High School, studying under Hsu Wang-ching (徐旺慶). Major competition and performance experience: 2025 First Japan-Taiwan Friendship Jazz Festival, 2022 Wannasleep special Kaohsiung guest musician, 2022 Wendy Wander (溫蒂漫步) 'Have A Good Dream' winter special tour guest musician. Has collaborated with artists and musicians such as Huang Jui-feng (黃瑞豐), Hisao Osumi (大隅壽男), Hsieh Yu-wei (謝宇威), Tsuyoshi Yamamoto (山本剛), Huang Ta-wang (黃大旺), Seiichi Nakamura (中村誠一), Wendy Wander (溫蒂漫步), Hideo Ichikawa (市川秀男), Leo Wang (Leo 王), wannasleep, Wei Ju-hsuan (魏如萱), and others.
━ Liu Ta-jen (劉大任)|Double Bass ━
Graduated from the Graduate Institute of Music at National Dong Hwa University, majoring in jazz performance on double bass and electric bass, studying under Yohei Yamada (山田洋平) and Wei Kuang-hao (魏廣晧). Music performance activities include bassist for Jhouse Band, bassist for Marsalis Bar house band, host musician for Jazz Afternoon Tea at Yuppy Bookstore, performances with National Dong Hwa University Jazz Big Band and trumpeter Eric Miyashiro, National Dong Hwa University Jazz Big Band with Taiwan's drum king Huang Jui-feng (黃瑞豐), Kaohsiung Blowing Sea Breeze Music Festival, and NTCH Jazz Camp performances including Big band and Combo band, among other jazz-related shows.
━ Cheng Meng-feng (鄭孟峰)|Jazz Drums ━
After graduation, continued to delve into jazz performance while also participating in pop music production for artists. Was nominated for the Golden Melody Award for Best Band in 2019 and for Best Taiwanese Album Production in 2025. In 2023, returned to his hometown Tainan, using Jhouse as a starting point to promote jazz, bringing jazz into everyone's daily life and making it an indispensable part of life.
