The Force Reappears, Freehand Life - Yang Fu-chin (楊富琴) Solo Exhibition

Date: 2026-06-13 — 2026-06-28 Organizer: 楊富琴
If Chinese ink painting emphasizes brushwork and ink application, freehand expression and emotional release, then traditional oil painting pursues the beauty of form and the rich variation of color. Ultimately, however, both embody the artist's personal cultivation. And artistic cultivation comes not only from the refinement of technique but also from the understanding of life!
My early study of landscape Chinese painting made me familiar with line drawing and ink use, but it was not until after retirement, when I began learning oil painting for nearly ten years, that I gained an understanding of color usage and further pursued knowledge of light-dark relationships, composition, and form. Although my technique, painting experience, and professional artists are not yet comparable, I believe I can use my rich life experiences (including 38 years of workplace experience), through keen and sensitive observation, and through the presentation of paintings, to tell my own or others' stories. I also hope that my emotions can resonate with others!
My greatest purpose in painting is to "fulfill myself and move people's hearts"! If I can keep pace with the times, it can also be considered a successful project after retirement.
