"Poetry and Romance III" (詩詞情緣III) Kunqu Concert

The "Affection In Chinese Poems III - A Kunqu Concert" is presented by the Taipei Kunqu Society, featuring literary guidance by Professor Liu Chien-chih. Half of the repertoire is drawn from the late Qing dynasty "Sui-chin Tz'u-p'u" (Fragmented Gold Lyric Scores), while the other half consists of newly arranged pieces by Han Ch'ang-yün and composer Ch'en T'ien-yu, performed by veteran Taiwanese Kunqu singers. This concert highlights the principle of "i-tzu hsing-ch'iang" (shaping melody according to word tones), offering a refined experience for lovers of classical poetry and Kunqu opera.
