"No Place" Lu Chia-hui (陸佳暉) Rush Mat Life Exhibition

Creation gives a new context to rush weaving, transforming the life of rush grass into another form that continues to exist in people's lives and memories. Through the physical labor of making, the creator perceives the meaning of existence and time. In the "No Place" series, works use black straw to link past time through woven structures, forming a vessel for the return of life in future time. The "Yayoi" series responds with the order and rhythm of natural life: in the lush blossoming of the Yayoi season, the third lunar month, spring returns to the earth, revealing hope for life, just like the beginning and end of each posture in the process of rush weaving.
