The Ming Hwa Yuan Taiwanese Opera Troupe presents "Foxes and a Hundred Demons," a new Eastern fantasy opera set in a world where humans and demons coexist in mutual suspicion, exploring the ambiguity of good and evil. The story follows a young demon hunter, Hsien-kuang, and a girl disguised as a bride, Hsiao-t'an, who are forced to cooperate amid misunderstandings and conflict, gradually uncovering the schemes of the national preceptor, Yun-chiao-tzu, and the truth of their own origins. Featuring leading performers from the younger generation, this production blends traditional Taiwanese opera with modern theatrical techniques, inviting audiences on a fantastical journey that transcends race and belief.
