Tai Lin-chih (TAI, LIN-CHIH), an artist residing in Paris, France, returns to Taiwan in the summer of 2026 with her paintings, bringing a wonderful solo exhibition to the public, featuring over 30 exquisite new works. Tai holds a Ph.D. in Visual Arts from the Université Panthéon-Sorbonne (Paris I) and a Master's degree in Aesthetics. She specializes in "combining classical ink painting with contemporary illustration" while also exploring and creating illustration art. Tai excels at drawing from daily life, starting from experiences with children and family, attempting to develop these perspectives to view the world, extracting the beauty from seemingly ordinary and trivial things as subjects for her paper creations.

Over the years, her artistic足迹 has covered Taiwan, France, and Japan. She received an Honorable Mention at the Taipei Art Awards (T'ai-Pei Mei-Shu Chiang), and her sketch works "Map of Melancholy" (Yu-Yü Pan-T'u) and "The Ten Commandments" (Shih Chieh) were twice collected by the National Taiwan Museum of Fine Arts (Kuo-Li T'ai-Wan Mei-Shu Kuan). She is frequently invited back to Taiwan to hold workshops and events of various sizes at National Taiwan University (Kuo-Li T'ai-Wan Ta-Hsüeh), National Taiwan Normal University (Kuo-Li T'ai-Wan Shih-Fan Ta-Hsüeh), National Kaohsiung Normal University (Kuo-Li Kao-Hsiung Shih-Fan Ta-Hsüeh), and other institutions. In 2017, she published her first personal illustration collection in Paris, "Comme chagrin, pourtant heureux" (Ssu-Hu Yu-Ch'ou Ch'üeh Yu Mei-Hao), continuing to showcase her unique contemporary ink and illustration vocabulary with delicate, warm brushstrokes and a cross-cultural perspective.

This exhibition, "Musée de la solitude: Loneliness, Shipped All the Way from Paris," will lead the audience into the paper world of illustration creations by Taiwan-based artist Tai Lin-chih, allowing them to experience the artistic charm interwoven with her profound classical ink heritage and contemporary vision.

We sincerely invite art enthusiasts from all walks of life to visit and explore this visual feast blending Eastern and Western aesthetics.
