Miao-pei Exhibition Room Series 3: "Aluminum Can Travelogue – Hu Ta-hua (胡達華) Nail Painting Creation Exhibition" (苗北展覽室系列3《鋁罐遊記──胡達華釘畫創作展》)

From aluminum beverage cans readily available in daily life, artist Hu Ta-hua (胡達華) cuts, hammers nails, and rearranges them, transforming them into vividly colored images. The colors and textures originally belonging to brand labels and beverage packaging are broken down into tiny fragments, then pieced back together bit by bit into the picture, forming richly detailed, layered "aluminum can paintings."
In these works, there are no traditional pigments or brushstrokes; instead, there is the reflection of metal, the serrated edges of aluminum sheets, and the rhythm and sense of time accumulated nail by nail. In the artist's eyes, the use of aluminum cans is not only a material transformation but also a conversion and rebirth of value. Those everyday objects that were once discarded and overlooked, after being rearranged, become artistic landscapes that can be gazed upon and appreciated.
These landscapes actually come from the life we are familiar with, just seen in a different way.
