Keelung Story House "STORY100%" Special Exhibition

Keelung Story House, as a venue that tells the story of Keelung, has reopened with a new look. The theme of this permanent exhibition is "Witnessing a Century of Keelung," with "Keelung Port" as its core axis, leading the audience through a century of history to explore Keelung's transformation from "Keelung" (literally 'Chicken Coop') to "Keelung," witnessing the city's rise, fall, and prosperity.
The exhibition is divided into three major sections: "From Fishing Harbor to Port City Streets," "Post-War Recovery to Prosperous Era," and "International Tourism to Century Navigation." Through the display technique of a ship's corridor, it evokes the first impressions of Keelung by travelers from different eras; the aerial photography and historical map sections meticulously present the urban development context of Keelung over the past century. From Keelung's upgrade from a "street" to a "city" in 1924, through its role as a key military port during the Pacific War period (1941-1945), to its golden post-war years, it fully records Keelung's transformation from a local to an international entity. It will cover the period from the 1990s to 2024, as Keelung continues to serve as a major international trade port in northern Taiwan, persistently narrating the ups and downs of the past century. From 1924 to 2024, Keelung, as a port city, continues to unfold future chapters, showcasing its unique history and culture.
