Hou Shang-yung and His Friends: Classical Guitar Concert

Shang Yun Hou and His Friends is a classical guitar concert led by veteran Taiwanese guitarist Shang Yun Hou, who has studied the instrument for nearly five decades. The program features solo works by Bach, Giuliani, and a world premiere of Liu Ming-jui's "Baroque Shadows," followed by ensemble pieces with French guitarists Rémi Jousselme and Tristan Manoukian, as well as Formosa International Guitar Festival founder Tsou Shih-lieh. Spanning Baroque, Spanish, contemporary, and crossover styles, this performance showcases the guitar's expressive range through duets, trios, and quartets, offering a rare opportunity to hear international artists collaborate in an intimate chamber setting.
