Handel's Oratorio "Samson"

This performance is Handel's oratorio "Samson," presented jointly by the Taipei YMCA Sacred Music Choir and the Sunshine Taipei Symphony Orchestra. Led by Music Director and Conductor Sun Ai-kuang (孫愛光), it features soloists including tenor Lin Chien-chi (林健吉) and soprano Huang Li-chin (黃莉錦). This work is directly adapted from the epic, with lyrics rich in literary beauty. Handel further fused the dramatic tension of Italian opera with Baroque polyphonic style within it, making it a classic and deeply moving oratorio.
