The finale of the Chimei Music Festival [Brilliant Depths: Brahms and His Era] series, "Mountains and Waters, Storms and Rains: A Feast of Masterpieces by Brahms and Dvořák," features internationally renowned pianist Liu Meng-chieh (劉孟捷) and Victorien Vanoosten, Music Director of the Opéra de Toulon, conducting the National Taiwan Symphony Orchestra (國立臺灣交響樂團) in Brahms' Piano Concerto No. 1 and Dvořák's Symphony No. 8. This concert not only showcases Brahms' youthful vigor but also, through Dvořák's Bohemian melodies, leads audiences to feel the profound charm of 19th-century Romantic music.
