Chen Pei-hsuan & Li Liao-chia Joint Concert

Date: 2026-08-23 Organizer: 陳倍旋;李寈佳
This concert is jointly presented by flutists Chen Pei-hsuan (陳倍旋) and Li Liao-chia (李寈佳), who met through an alumni orchestra and bonded over music, planning a musical feast in their hometown of Tainan to showcase their cross-generational love for music.

The program spans from the Baroque to the Romantic period, featuring selected classic flute works that display different styles and musical charms. The first half opens with the profound and delicate contrapuntal language of Bach's Flute Sonata in E Minor, followed by the bright and elegant classical气息 of Mozart's Flute Quartet No. 1 in D Major, and the light, flowing romantic melody of Köhler's Valse des Fleurs, interweaving the rich and enchanting appearance of flute music.

The second half opens with Taffanel's Fantasy on Themes from Weber's "Der Freischütz", blending virtuosity and dramatic tension to showcase the ultimate expressiveness of the flute. Gaubert's Romance uses French lyrical vocabulary to lay out delicate emotions, while Doppler's Duettino Hongrois concludes with passionate dance rhythms and brilliant technique, bringing a climactic musical intensity.

This concert is co-performed by pianist Tsai Chih-hsien (蔡芷弦), who connects the entire program through delicate layers of sound, guiding the audience to experience the diverse and vivid facets of flute music. We invite you to join this performance rich in technique, emotion, and musical storytelling.
