Centennial Retrospect - Teng Nan-kuang Image Memorial Museum Centennial Celebration: Precious Old Photos Reviving Peipu's Glory
"This year marks the centennial of the Teng Nan-kuang Image Memorial Museum (鄧南光影像紀念館). The Peipu Township Office has specially curated the 'Light and Shadow Peipu: Centennial Retrospect' Image Memorial Exhibition. This exhibition brings together the landscapes of Peipu captured through the lens of master photographer Teng Nan-kuang, as well as precious private images generously shared by local residents. Through a cross-temporal dialogue spanning nearly half a century, it leads viewers into the deep and authentic fabric of life in Peipu's Hakka settlement. Step into the light and shadow, and encounter Peipu's past and present. The 'Light and Shadow Peipu: Centennial Retrospect' special exhibition is divided into three major zones: 'Nan-kuang Time Corridor,' 'Peipu Impressions of the 1940s–1960s,' and 'Peipu Inscriptions: Classic Documents.' The exhibition runs from now until July 31, lasting three months. This is not just an exhibition of photographs; it is more like a journey into memory. Through each image, we rediscover the life, human touch, and stories of Peipu, and gradually reconnect with this land. We sincerely invite everyone to visit the Teng Nan-kuang Image Memorial Museum and, amidst the light and shadow, feel the changes and the enduring warmth of Peipu along its journey."
