65 Craft Festival: 'Craft Banquet, Cultural Feast' Event
In 2026, the 65 Craft Festival is officially upgraded to a national holiday. This day is not only the birthday of Yen Shui-long (顏水龍), the father of Taiwanese crafts, but also coincides with World Environment Day, allowing craft and nature to be understood anew from the same perspective. With 'Slow Living SLOHAS' at its core, the National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute connects craft banquets, markets, and diverse experiential activities, bringing craft into daily life, making it seen and participated in.
'Craft Banquet, Cultural Feast' Event
Time: 2026/6/6 (Sat)–6/7 (Sun), 6/19 (Fri)–6/21 (Sun) · 09:20-12:30, 10 table hosts per session
Location: National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute, Local Craft Hall, 1st Floor
Participants: Craftspeople and brands in ceramics, woodwork, metalwork, fiber arts, weaving, bamboo crafts, lacquerware, carving, needle felting, paper arts, etc.
Around a round table, people meet, and crafts also intertwine and converge here.
Welcoming the 2026 65 Craft Festival, this year continues the 'Craft Banquet, Cultural Feast,' inviting craftspeople from all over Taiwan to sit at the same table with the public, starting a dialogue about creation and life.
This event will invite 50 craft table hosts to participate. Each session is expected to attract about 80 to 100 craft-loving people. Through face-to-face exchange and interaction, craft enters daily life and people's hearts.
Two Major Themes
· Life Sensibility Craft in Daily
Craft enters daily life, emphasizing practicality and function.
· Art and Land Symbiosis Craft as Art
Craft returns to art, exploring the symbiotic relationship between craft, land, and culture.
Registration for this event is free, but participation is subject to approval by the organizer.
Those approved will receive a travel subsidy: each group is provided with a round-trip travel subsidy, with a maximum subsidy of NT$1,200.
