History of Metal Weaving (History of Gold and Silver Filigree Craft) "Filigree craft" also known as "fine gold craft" or "gold and silver filigree craft," has a wide range of applications. It can be used alone as a finished product with fine wires or decorate parts of jewelry to enhance beauty. Wire Wrap Jewelry: Exquisite jewelry made by manually wrapping natural stones with metal wires, an ancient jewelry technique dating back two thousand years. The jewelry requires no soldering or casting, relying solely on a pair of hands, simple tools, and superb wire manipulation skills! The wire can be silver, copper, or high-quality gold-filled wire! Filigree Inlay Technique—Weaving Plain wires are twisted into various patterned wires before use, hence the name "filigree." Using one or multiple strands of different gauges of patterned or plain wires, weaving patterns according to warp and weft, metal wire wrapping involves changing the shape of metal wires such as silver, copper wires, and bead accessories through wrapping, twisting, etc. with related tools, without soldering, to create ever-changing forms. Creative inspiration often comes from nature/marine ecology.
