The 2026 Taitung Arts Festival presents the heartwarming Taitung version of the Chinese musical *Don't Cry, Dancing Girls*, featuring a stellar collaboration by renowned director Tseng Hui-cheng, emerging composer Robert Kang, and Golden Bell-winning screenwriter Chan Chieh. The story follows three Song sisters who return to their hometown in Huwei, Yunlin, and become entangled in their great-uncle's dying wish, forcing them to master the traditional soul-guiding song dance (ch'ien-wang) for a chance at a five-million-dollar inheritance.
