2026 Maoli Performing Arts Festival "A Place with Only Moonlight" (2 Performances)

Date: 2026-07-18 Organizer: 曾少彤;陳恩彤
Program Description
"We use our bodies to reenact the final posture of the glacier."
As global warming intensifies, glacier melting has become one of the most iconic contemporary environmental issues.
The disappearance of glaciers not only symbolizes the imbalance of the climate system but also triggers ecological collapse, species extinction, and changes in the future living conditions for humanity.
This creative project attempts to transform the process of glacier melting and the fading of life into a tangible, perceptible bodily experience.
Through the dancers' physical states, sense of time, and spatial relationships, it responds to the increasingly imbalanced relationship between humans and nature. During the performance, it guides the audience to reconsider their own position and responsibility in environmental issues from an emotional level.

Environmental issues and life issues echo each other through dance.
The choreographer's works over the years have started from social issues: a 2022 dance theater work on dementia, a 2023 work on beautiful imaginings of old age in a super-aged society, and a 2026 inquiry into the essence of life and environmental issues.
The choreographer excels at utilizing performers from different backgrounds to piece together the imagination of the work and bring out the uniqueness of each life.
In this work, the body becomes evidence—proving that environmental issues are, ultimately, life issues; and every moving body is living within the same ongoing change.
