2025 Outdoor Light Projection: Tung Blossom Art Realm in Miaopei

The "Outdoor Light Projection" series at the Miaoli County Miaopei Arts and Cultural Center returns this year. Continuing the character of the red-haired little girl Moi created by emerging artist Ning Jui-chieh (寧芮潔), this season's light projection works incorporate the imagery of Miaoli's tung blossoms. From now until July 31, screenings will take place every evening from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the outdoor plaza of the Miaopei Arts and Cultural Center, inviting the public to enjoy romantic summer nights.
"Moi" is taken from the French word for "me," symbolizing the artist's childhood self, depicting the connection between people and nature through a childlike perspective. This year's works specially incorporate the imagery of Miaoli's tung blossoms, with the little girl interacting with the flowers in a lively and adorable manner, also showcasing the humanistic and natural beauty of Miaoli's mountain city.
The Miaopei Arts and Cultural Center stated that it hopes through outdoor light projection art to allow the public to easily engage with art in daily life, while also providing a new nighttime leisure option for families and tourists.
