115th Year Miaoli County Cultivation of Taiwanese-Language Family Plan: [Lecture] Come Play Board Games ~

To encourage the public to bring Taiwanese back into daily life and pass the mother tongue down through generations, the Miaoli County Government, in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture's "National Language Overall Development Plan," launches the "115th Year Miaoli County Taiwanese-Language Family Cultivation Plan." With the theme "Let's Speak Tâi-gí Together," it plans a series of parent-child learning courses that are intellectual, fun, and life-oriented, calling on families across the county to hold hands, speak Taiwanese together, collect hours, and win prizes!

Family is the best environment for rooting the mother tongue. This year, we adopt the strategy of "youth-oriented, life-oriented, parent-child learning." The July sessions will be held from July 3 to 26, including 2 awareness-building sessions, 7 stories/lectures, 7 experience activities, and 3 reading-walk activities, totaling 19 sessions. There are Taiwanese storytelling favorites for children, awareness-building lectures to guide parents in building confidence, Puppet Theater (布袋戲) experiences full of traditional artistic charm, rush grass craft workshops carrying local memories, and ecological and cultural history reading walks in Miaoli. Registration opens at 9:00 AM on June 25. Spaces are limited; first come, first served.

To attract more families to respond, we launch a "Double Gift" strong support mechanism! First gift: "New User Registration Welcome Gift" – any family that newly registers and binds on-site as a Ministry of Culture "Taiwanese-Language Family/Community" and selects Miaoli County as their residence location will receive an exquisite gift per household. Second gift: "Collect Hours to Win Prizes" – families that successfully register, participate together to collect the course hours required by the Ministry of Culture categories, complete the specified conditions, and pass the review can become certified "Taiwanese-Language Families" and receive a reward from the Ministry of Culture!

Combining fun board games with Taiwanese, the Secluded Valley Book House Team will lead everyone in a cozy book house, listening to interesting Taiwanese stories while using their brains to play board games. Through carefully designed table games and a high proportion of Taiwanese interaction, children will naturally communicate and think in Taiwanese in a tense, exciting, and joyful atmosphere.
