115th Year Hakka Language Proficiency Certification Study Class (Basic and Elementary, Intermediate and Upper-Intermediate, Advanced Study Class)

Miaoli is a major Hakka county, with all 18 townships and cities designated as key Hakka cultural development areas. The county government has worked vigorously to promote Hakka affairs. From 2017 to 2025 (Republic of China years 106-114), its Hakka language implementation results were recognized by the Hakka Affairs Council, achieving an eight-consecutive-year Excellent rating, ranking first nationwide.
To create a Hakka-friendly environment and encourage county residents to participate in Hakka language proficiency certification, various levels of certification study classes are offered. The Basic and Elementary, and Intermediate and Upper-Intermediate courses are taught by Hsu Huan-sheng (徐煥昇), winner of the Ministry of Education's Outstanding Contribution Award for Promoting Local Languages. The Advanced study class is taught by Hsieh Su-hua (謝素華), a Miaoli County Hakka Advanced Certification Seed Teacher. The courses are completely free. Registration is open from 9:00 AM on June 22 to 5:00 PM on July 1. Each class has 35 slots, available on a first-come, first-served basis. Interested members of the public are welcome to attend.
